1988 Boston Celtic Stock Certificate Authentic 2 Units Professionally Framed

Description

This is an authentic professionally framed Boston Celtics Stock Certificate issued May 12, 1988.  It is a double glass (front & back) matted brass tone substantial metal frame.  The frame is 15 3/4" wide, 12 1/4" high and 3/4" thick.  It is 2 units and has not been signed or certified, straight from the mailed envelope to the frame. You can see the fold lines..  This is the story:
In late winter 1987 my soon to be husband playfully bet me that the Lakers would beat the Celtics and take the Championship.  He was a die hard Lakers fan and I didn't know how many players were on the basketball court (hardly seems like a fair bet) but I'm a good sport so I agreed.  The wager:  If the Lakers won I would cook a 3 course meal for him (not much, you say; I am a lousy cook and do not enjoy it, it was a lot).  If Boston won he would buy me stock in the franchise.  Well, we all know the outcome.  So, a few weeks later I headed to the kitchen and started to prep our meal.  Not surprisingly, he joined me in the kitchen and we had a wonderful time cooking and eating, great memory.  A few months later he came home proudly with a package under his arm.  I laughed out loud and was not surprised when I saw the framed stock certificate.  It was so him!  End of summer we married and sadly he passed away 25 years ago.  Our time was short and sweet.  The certificate hung on the wall for a few years and finally ended up in a closet.  But now, it's time for someone else to enjoy it.
