RARE: Vietnam Era US Army/USMC M1 Ground Troop Combat Helmet "Steel Pot" w/Mitchell Pattern Cover & Elastic Band - 1967 Dated Liner Complete - Very Nice Condition
Up for sale is a Rare Vietnam Era M1 Ground Troop Combat Helmet.  More commonly known as the "Steel Pot"
.  This is a Complete M1 Helmet.  It is used, see photo's for Condition.  This helmet consists of the following componets:
Rear Seam Steel Pot, with chin straps nice condition.  No major dents or damage.  Original Condition chin straps.
Fiberglass liner, w/canvas suspension,  Very Nice Condition.  The Liner looks like it is contract dated 1967
.
Leather sweat band w/all clips Nice Condition, leather is soft and pliable.  Markings are faint and illegible, see photo.
Neck Strap, Nice condition, markings are no long legible.
Mitchell Pattern Helmet Cover,  some minor pull marks and fading of color.  It has the correct DSA contract dated 1962.
Original Elastic Helmet Cover Band,  no markings or dates.
The Mitchell Cover and Band are worth + alone.  This is a great price for a Correct & Complete Vietnam Era M1 Combat Helmet.  Don't miss you chance to bid on this one with the Complete Original 1967 dated liner, with that "Been There" look that collector desire.
